I am looking for any information, and preferably photos, about a large block apartment house that used to be on Washington Street and which is now gone. It was referred to as Block 55 and later Block 56. I think they both burned. I think they were owned by the company who owned the cotton mill at the bottom of 'sand hill' which is also now gone. I think his name was Sprague.
