I am interested to know what it is like living in a place with limited daylight hours. I live in Vancouver, and have never been to Alaska, so am wondering what you do in the winter when it is dark. ( or is that a myth). Here in the winter, I can still go cycling. I also go snowsheing and skiing on our local mountains. ( When it's not raining, that is < > ) Anybody care to share?------------------

greetings! As my user name implies there is some sun in AK during the winter... I don't live there now, but spen all of my childhood in St. Mary's and Aniak, both in the Yukon-Kuskokwin Delta... the winters near us were moderate most of the time, and most of what you hear about darkness is a myth... We spent a lot of time outside snowmachining and sledding... playing in the snow with skiis and snowboards, but by the time spring rolls around no one complains! Have any other specific questions?
