My mother saw a story about high school students who are trained for search and rescue teams in Aniak, Alaska. My mother is going to go to Alaska soon on Semester at Sea and is interested in having this group as a part of the educational experience for the students on the ship.Any information on how to get in contact with this group would be greatly appreciated Thank you! Scarlet1 ...Aniak High School is part of the Kuspuk School District. The address for the school is P.O. Box 29 Aniak, AK 99557. Their phone number is (907)675-4330. If you want to get the school district office, they can be reached at P.O. Box 49 Aniak, AK 99557. The phone number there is (907)675-4250. When you realize that the climate in that area can get down as low as -50 degrees farenheit, it's no wonder that the students are challenged to excell as well as survive in that harsh environment. Good luck with your efforts to contact the search and rescue group and set up a "learning challenge" for your students.... IP: Logged |
