A benefit is being held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Half Way There Bar and Grill in New Berlin, IL. to raise money for the Brad Woods Family of Waverly, IL. Proceeds will help with medical costs, the children’s education and other expenses the family has incurred due to Brad’s untimely death. Brad leaves behind a 15 year old son, Brady, a 13 year old daughter, Breanna, and a 4 year old nephew, Kaleb, whom he was raising.

Brad passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the age of 44. Brad had a history of medical problems from an early age and was unable to obtain medical or life insurance except for a $2000 life insurance policy his mother had purchased when he was born.

During the benefit there will be a coed softball tournament, a washer tournament, a 50/50 drawing, food, a DJ and an auction.

Donations are needed for the auction that will be held at 4:00 p.m. that day, whether it is monetary or an item to auction.
