I am looking for any and all information mainly on Lee Morgan, who was a contractor in Corbin, KY during 1915-1925. He met Ida Link-Hatfield and they made a baby, my grandfather, Robert Lee Hatfield (Sr.) It is noted on my grandfather's birthcertificate that she was a "washerwoman" and Lee Morgan, who was said to be from Knoxville, Tennessee was a "contractor".
Now, we don't know if this man even knew Ida or if she just said he was the father; nor do we know if he ever knew he had a son by Ida.All we do know is this: Ida Link at one point in her life (we think) married a Hatfield, she at least one child by him, her name was Pearl. Now, we don't know if she had her next two children by the Hatfield man or not, but she gave them the Hatfield name, their names were Charles and Louise. Then you have my grandfather, Robert Lee Hatfield (Sr.) Born in Corbin, Kentucky but raised in Knoxville, Tennessee for a while, then moved to Ohio with Ida and family for work and then moved back to Knoxville where they all stayed and died. We have no information on Ida other than her name. She had a great need to lie to every one, including her own children, as to who their father was, where she came from, and what her background was.
