I am doing research on my family's ancestry. I have reached a road block at Patric Jospeh Calnan. He is beleived to be from Athlone Ireland and arrived in Boston sometime before 1897. He was born in 1820 and he married Catharine Martin.

They had three children:
Joseph Patrick Calnan
GeorgeFrederick
Lillian R.

Joseph married (1927 in Malden MA) and later divorced my ggrandmother Eva Mae Richardson. He remarried and had many more children. He died in Wilmington MA in 1991.

I would like to trace more information and it would help to know when he arrived in Boston. I had also heard that Inman Square in Cambridge was once named Calnan Sq or that a section of the area was called Calnan Square.

Any leads would be appreciated. If you think you may be a relative, please email me.
Thanks
