I am related to Adam Schneider, who was born in Gerhardtsbrunn, Germany in 1747. He came to America in 1773/75. He landed in Philadelphia, PA. At some point he traveled to Eakles Mill, MD & married Catherine Putman (Catherina Butmaennin), a native of Eakles Mill. They had a son, Jacob Schneider, b. 17 Feb 1777.
Jacob married Catherine Weyandt/Wyand/Wyandt on 10 Oct 1801 or 1804. At some point Jacob changed his last name to Snyder. At another point, Jacob and Catherine went to Somerset, PA and had 5 children. They then returned to Eakles Mill/Keedysville and had 8 more children.
I would like information about Jacob and Catherine, please.
Jacob and Catherine's firstborn, Christian b. 2 Aug 1802, married Virginia Jane Wright (of Glasgow, Scotland) and they had 10 children. Their 2nd born, Elizabeth Ann Snyder, is my gg-greatgrandmother. She married David Snider.
I would like information about Christian and Virginia, as well as Elizabeth Ann. My records (& they could be wrong) indicate that all of Christian and Virginia's children were born in Washington County, MD. Probably Keedysville &/or Eakles Mill.Please email me with any info you may have.

HI, I have some information on the families that you are searching. And I have some questions too. Will be glad to search some of my files for Schnieder/Snyder/ There is also a good Gen website for the Wyand family.
