Does anyone from the Ypsilanti area know anything about a recording studio called "Boyd Recording Servie"? This Co. was owned by Jerry L. Boyd and may no longer be in business. I would like to know more about the artists who were recorded in his studi and when? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bill the vinylspinner ------------------

Jerry Boyd was a salesman at "Big George" an appliance / tv / stereo dealer on Universty ave. in Ann Arbor. I new him to be working from 67 into the early 70's He recorded live events, don't think he ever had a studio. He generally used a Magnecord 2-track, Shure mixers and EV mics. I opened Head Sound about that time, on East Cross in Ypsilanti.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if Jerry Boyd is still around and if so how to contact him? The record I have that he recorded/produced was done live At "Han's Schnitzelbank", a bar/dance club. Do you know where this was? Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti perhaps?
