I am looking for any information on a little one room church that was built in or around either Ava, or Arno, Douglas Co., Missouri.

I have been told that my great great grandfather and mother's, picture was placed in a stained glass window in front of the church. I understand the original church and window burned and a new church was built and a picture of my great great grandparents also hung there.
There names were Edward and Elizabeth Turner, known to church members as Uncle Ned and Aunt Lizzie.
Edward passed on on August 23rd 1911.
Elizabeth passed on August 8th, 1918
They are buried in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Ava, Missouri.

Any information on the history of this church or on my great great grandparents would be appreciated.

Hi there,

Read your posting on USA Hometown page....my Papa and Mama are currently living in Ava, Missouri and have been there for quite a while. They also attend local churches quite regularly and might know of somebody who can help you find the information you are looking for regarding your geneology !? It's worth a try....better to have someone actively involved in trying to answer your questions rather than it setting here on a page that maybe nobody will see, smile !?
Here's my Papa's (Pastor Bill) website and you could write him an e-mail to see what/who he might know that could help you. http://www.angelfire.com/mo/greendragon1

By the way, I live in California also....Susanville to be precise, whereabouts are you from !?
Let me know if you have any luck in this ancestry search or not !

Sharon: I have contacted the Turner Family and have information that might be helpful but your e-mail address is incorrect. I tried it as: sharonp1@ocsnet.net and sharon1@ocs.net, each one was returned as no listing.
