I need to find out where Brumley, Missouri Got its name. What is its history. You see my Best friends last name is Brumley and her great grandfather was killed by who her family thinks was Bonnie and Clyde but we think it may have been Jessie James instead. His name was Thomas Jefferson Brumley and he was a Sheriff in Sapulpa Oklahoma. But we know that he was chasing whoever killed him. We thought maybe he was killed in Brumley, Missouri.

I tried to email you directly, but it bounced. By now you probably have your answer, but just in case you do not:

On 02-03-34 Officer Thomas Jefferson Brumley of the Sapulpa Police Department died - cause of death listed on the Fallen Officer's Hall of Memory is Gunfire.

You could probably email Jim Wall Chief of Police of the Sapulpa Police Department and he could probably locate some details for you. For some reason I think that Brumley might of been Chief of Police of the Sapulpa PD at that time. His email is:
jwall@sapulpapolice.com
