Hi Tonya, I saw your post and was hoping maybe you could help me. I am searching for friends and family that may be victims of hurricane Katrina.
My name is Nicki Lipham and I live in Wedowee, AL (middle east right on GA line). My oldest son's father and his wife and stepbrothers live in Lucedale also. We have lost touch over the last 2 or 3 years, and would like to find out if they made it thru the storm and are ok. Their names are John and Lisa Smathers, they have 4 boys, and they live(d) on 264 Walter Havard Rd. in Lucedale. I have sent emails to their old email addys but they did not go thru. I am sending a snail mail to them tomorrow. If you could possibly find out for me if they are ok, I would very much appreciate it. If you know them or locate them, please tell them to get in touch with either me or my son Michael and let us know how they are.
My brother, his wife and family and my mother live in Waynesboro, and I although I have talked to them and they are ok and their house survived, the lack of power, water, gas and the heat are making it very hard. All this is so scary! Please help if you can; Michael would like to have word from his dad.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you on the Gulf Coast right now. Please email me back and let me know you got this message.
