Author Topic:   Naming of Idabel Oklahoma Cliff Britt New Member Posts: 1 From: Registered: Feb 2004 posted February 07, 2004 02:00 PM                I was told that the Naming of Idabel Oklahoma was from two Aunts named Ida and Bell by My great grandmother before she died. For years i could not confirm it until I ran accross an Internet site that said that Idabel was named for the two daughters of A Choctaw citizen named ida and Bell. Idabel is located in MCCurtain County. The question I would like to know is the full name of this Choctaw citizen and the full name of his two Daughters. If anyone can provide me with this information I would greatly appreciate it.
