I am hoping someone can help me. I am looking for any information regarding the Turnbow family, especially Rufus Harvey Turnbow. I am a relative. Can you tell me anything abut how he died and when? IP: Logged |

I am the first born son of a man named Rufus Harvey Turnbow from Oklahoma. He was married to my mother Joyce for two years from 1946 to 1948. How are u related? I do have information on his death but would like to hear from you first since it is of a personal nature.IP: Logged |

My name is Maryanne Turnbow (now Paganetti). My mother is Mollie Turnbow and was married to Rufus Harvey Turnbow in 1950. I have two younger brothers, Glen and Keith Turnbow and two older siblings, Roger and Barbara, from my mother's previous marriage. An older sister, JoAnn is deceased. We left Oklahoma in '61 and came to Nevada. I know my father had an older son, Michael, from a previous marriage. Is this you? I would like to find out more about my father. I know how he died but I don't know if Henry ever served time. I'm just trying to find out information about this side of my family. Can you help? Maryanne IP: Logged |

I'm Henry's grandson. He died in '77.
I don't know much about Rufus' side of the family either, but I bet we can find out more than any of us know now.

Hello:Rick,I am not sure that you remember me.I am your mothers first cousin Annette.The daughter of Rufus Turnbow.We met at your home in Mcloud when we were teenagers.I went to your home to visit your mother several times back then.Would like to hear from you.I am presently out in California. quote:

He died Feb.13th,1969 in Maud,Ok...three fatal gunshot wounds inflicted by his brother Henry turnbow. No,Henry did not serve any time for that crime.The case is very well known in Pottawotomie County.The Case Law is taught and used by a Law Professor there in Shawnee,OKlahoma.I have tons of information if you are truly interested. quote:

Hi.....I am a related to Turnbow family via my grandfather, Ed Hughes, brother of Willie Turnbow .. I have fond memories of my childhood visits to Konawa in the 60s and remember both Henry and Rufus well. I teach in Lawton, OK and am always interested in any family history ... One particular interest is of our Native heritage ... Can anyone enlighten me on which tribe we hail from? IP: Logged |
