To whom it may concern Eufaula not so mighty anymore tiger band is having lots of trouble . Almost half of the band walked off the field in protest of their new director who has single handedly destroyed the band. Most of the remaining students do not want to take the field because they are afraid they will be laughed at because of the pathetic drill and music. The two things the band agrees on are that we wish the new director wouold leave or change and if he leaves the greatest director anyone could ask for Mr Steave Hawkins would return.IP: Logged |

Ok...I am replying to your post. I too...am a band member of the EHS band and I was one of the ones that walked off the field yesterday. I am tired of his antics and I too believe that we will get laughed at during our competitions. In the past our drill has been almost Corps level...and this year its ALL basics. LITERALLY!!! We, as a band...talked to our principal yesterday and he was going to talk to the director about all the problems and set him straight.....and for once...we didn't hear "I'm the director...I'll handle it."...wasn't that welcomed?

I am not a band memeber at E.H.S. but I've heard of the wrong doings of this new band director. I agree with the reasons the Band folk walked off the field and left that failure of a band director. Maybe he just has different ways of teaching but these ways are not known to this small town in Alabama. Its not my right to say whether or not he should go or stay because I'm not apart of the band but I do believe that if he wants to be someone the band members can rely on, he should give them more respect. Sorry I just had to speak my mind and all, I can't help it.------------------
