SCRAPBOOK EVENT TO FEATURE “CROP FOR THE CRITTERS”
• DOTHAN, AL FEBRUARY 3RD, 2005: On April 2nd and 3rd, 2005, “Croppers” taking part in the 2nd Indulgent Diva Scrapbooking Event in Dothan will be able to “Crop for the Critters” by submitting pages they’ve designed which feature animals. The people’s choice for favorite will be determined by the most money raised at 25 cents a vote, and matching funds from the Event will be added to all money raised. The combined amounts will be donated to the Wiregrass Humane Society.
SCRAPBOOKING AS AN INDUSTRY
SCRAPBOOKING IS the art/practice of placing photographs and memorabilia in a scrapbook to preserve and protect these treasured memories. According to The National Survey of Scrapbooking in America, 2004, a benchmark study of the scrapbooking industry, sponsored by Creating Keepsakes magazine and Craftrends magazine:
• 25% of all households have participated in scrapbooking in the last 12 months.
• 62% of scrapbookers say they are motivated to scrapbook because it is a creative outlet.
• 52% of scrapbookers attend at least one class or workshop in a six-month period.

All scrapbookers are invited to attend the event. The public is welcome to stop by the Ramada Inn Ballroom on Saturday to see the handiwork, and to vote for the people’s choice. For further information, or to register for the event, contact Debbie Trueblood at 334.793.4032 or log on to the Indulgent Diva Scrapbooking Event website -www.indulgentdivas.com
