I am searching for an old friend.... She lived in Fryeburg Maine. She was a wonderful organist that played in in various resorts, and other places in and around Fryeburg and N. Conway in the 1960's, 1970's and 80's. Today, if still living, she would be in her 70's or 80's All I can tell you is I remember driving from N.Conway to Fryeburg on a road that had a covered wooden bridge. Just as you entered Fryeburg she lived on the left side of the road. Her house was a typical New England style home. Seems there was the main part of the house, and then a rear attached part Think she rented out a room or two in this rear area. At the time (Mid "60's) she had 1 or 2 small children. She made her living playing the organ and piano. Maybe she gave music lessons.
I am hoping there wouldn't have been more than one professional female organist living and working in that area at that time. Hoping that someone knows or have heard of her. She may still be playing, either professionally, or for her church, or just for her own joy.
I am ashamed to say I don't remember her name... Only her wonderful music. The tapes she gave me are now worn out. I need to find her and beg her for a few new tapes of her wonderful music. Any information, no matter how small, will help. If you're young, ask your mom,or grandma. They may have the answers!
