does any one out there know about a race held back in'June 17th 1926 it was held at the Brookline Mass.country club,it was held by "THE EASTERN HORSE CLUB"it's an etching 3'x1'it has on it "OVER THE LIVERPOOL"the 26 running of the Challengers Cup steeplechase for hunters about 2 and a half mile race at the meeting of "THE EASTERN HORSE CLUB". The artist was A Mr.Gordon Ross it's a signed and dated piece and on the right hand side just under the etching it states 33 Fifth Ave N.Y.It list the owners--the horses--and the jockeys, research has been tough but i've found so far names i've been able to research,,a Beau Brummel and a Baron de Collaert does any one know if this is a common French name and title?or is it passed down thru a blood line. There was a Brig.Gen.Baron de Collaert who severed with Napoleon at Waterloo. But most of what was on the net was in French and believe it or not Dutch any help would be welcomed,,also have you heard of a stable called"WINDBURN STABLES" or The Chetlands stable......thanks LuckybuckyIP: Logged |
