Tennessee Lost & Found
www.TennesseeLostAndFound.us According to the NCIC there are over 5,400 cases of unidentified remains (Jane & John Does) in their system.
46 of these cases are in Tennessee.
There are over 101,000 missing persons listed in the NCIC.
More than 1,300 of those are missing from Tennessee.
It has been estimated that number only reflects 10-50% of the actual number of doe and missing cases that are not yet listed on the NCIC.
The actual numbers will soar far higher.
If you have a missing person in your family it is imperative that a missing persons report is filed with law enforcement. You should also request that the case if listed on the NCIC. Even older missing persons cases can benefit from NCIC submissions.
A few state officials are supporting my effort to create a state sponsored web-site for missing & unidentified. www.TennesseeLostAndFound.us
