My family is considering a move to the Salt Lake City, Utah area. If there are others out there who have transferred into Utah, I would appreciate your impressions of the area. My son will be a sophamore next fall. Are the children accepting of newcomers. Have you been happy with the schools? We love Brentwood, Tn. where we are now and want to learn as much as we can about the Salt Lake area community before we decide to move.

Seems best to post this here. I'm an American ex-pat, returning to the States after 5 years in Canada. St. George is # 2 on my list based on my priorities, including climate, unemployment, and job growth rate. I was there once (well, I *went through* there once) and the place was *beautiful* - I 'nicknamed' it "St. Gorgeous" instantly. FWIW #1 on my list is Tucson (using quite a few "tests", Tucson was *very* consistent, St. George was regularly astonishingly high), but my heart seems to want to lean toward St. George! As to demographics, I'm 48, Male, White, Straight, Single, *Very* Liberal, don't drink or smoke (used to do both heavily), need intellectual stimulation. My family and I (all Americans) have been estranged for a long time, so I can go *anywhere* I want. If someone from the area, preferably with similar demographics, could contact me so I could ask a few questions, I'd very much appreciate it! TIA. Bizarrely, like catwoman, I'm from Tennessee. Born and raised for 35 years in Memphis - had to leave to quit being raised! Really... Imagine 2 Tennesseans moving to Utah from different places at the same time! Bet it happens all the time. Blue Skies...Keith
