Hello all. My name is Stasey Norstrom and I'm collecting local tales, legends, and folklore from up and down the Washington and Oregon coastline for my book. If anyone has any stories that they've heard or tell or odd events that you or someone you know witnessed, please let me know. Plus, if you know of any Native American tales specific to the Washington coast, I would be greatly appreciative. I will give appropraite credit for anyone whose stories i accept.
thank you for your time.

Hi Stasey --

The best resource I can find for your request is a couple of Washington local folklore societies:

Seattle Folklore Society (est 1966)
P.O. Box 30141
Seattle, WA 98103
Tel: (206) 528-8546

Website: www.seafolklore.com

Spokane Folklore Society (est 1977)
P.O. Box 141
Spokane, WA 99210
Tel: (509) 747-2640

Website: www.spokanefolklore.org

Good luck with your research and book......
