Hello,I spent many years at Nicaboyne lake, some of them at Suggs' resort. I was maybe 8 when we stopped staying there but I remember eating in the dining room though I never liked dressing up while at the lake. Always wanted to be out fishing or swimmin, catching frogs or building frog houses. I remember my grandparents stayed in the middle cabin which was lime green at the time and we stayed in a red cabin which was next to it. We subsquently stayed at Rustic Lodge resort and then Sunrise resort until they all went out of business. It was a sad end to a wonderful time. However we continued to find cabins to rent on Nicaboyne and my folks continue to go each summer. They would be able to answer more questions and I will pass this site along to them when the return from vacation. Did you ever go to their resort?

Hi Cathy,This message has nothing to do with Suggs Resort or Nicaboyne Lake. It has to do with frog houses... Your post caught my eye because you said you used to catch frogs when you were a kid. I did, too! In fact, as I grew older, my family and friends began giving me frog figurines for every birthday and holiday and I now have a huge frog collection. You also said that you loved building frog houses. That is not something I have ever heard of before. What, exactly, are they and how do you make them? Just curious. Thanks! -Darlene IP: Logged |

I spent time there when I was 6 and would like more information on the lodge. I am glad my grandfather and Grandmother gave you good memories as they did me. I am looking for pictures of there resort and or the road sign. Thank you for your response. Phil Suggs Jr. ------------------
