Foster Jewell was born in Grand Rapids Mi, lived in San Diego during the Great Depression, worked with WPA making posters, Also known for his Sculptures The Blades of Grass, and the Babies series, Published author of Haiku poetry. World War I & II veteran with the Navy. Student and friend of Mathias Alten. I'm adding personal stories and memories of these artist to family Biography and would welcome your memories and or pictures. Granddaughter
