Chairkiller, I've been to thoes ruins years ago,in the fifties. I was told there was a commune of sorts and that they were a polygamist cult also that one of the leaders ran off with the commune's bankroll.

We use to truck chickens from Palmdale and Lancaster to Gardena and Torrance. Hope this helps to answer your question.

I don't know that it was a commune. It's off Cheseboro road, south of the aqueduct. Looks to be an old jailhouse..

Greetings, Just checked back. If it is the ruins I walked through some years ago, what I posted was what I was able to find out. We are in the Tahoe area now. Not sure there was a street out there then.
At the time there was not very much in Palmdale Lancaster area. Have a good day.

Richard
