researching family tree

area: Open Hall, Melrose, Tickle Cove, Sweet Bay

family names include: Mullowey, Maloney, Richard Feehan, Elizabeth Cullimore, Maurice Legge, Gertrude Maloney-Faulkner

1st born was Thomas born abt. 1773 on boat Irish Mist coming to Newfoundland from Sligo, Ireland. His father was William Mullowney, wife unknown. Thomas married Elizabeth Cullimore.

Some family moved to NY and Boston area.

Any assistance greatly appreciated. Also would like more info on the Irish Mist.

Hi there, Am in PEI now, but lived in NJ from 1984-1989. We were extremely lucky as such that our next door(townhouse) neighbor was Edward & Virginia Mullowney. Both were from NY City originally and Ed was from Newfoundland. Though they are both deceased now, I know that they had at least 4 grown children & grandchildren. One of their daughter was Anne Mullowney married to Dan ??? One son(Edward) was a big time lawyer in the legal case of the "catalitic converter" and a big Kodak case...google the name for lawyer Ed Mullowney and yul get something for sure...There was a son or daughter in California then....

Ed and Virginia Mullowney were great great neighbors and friends even though there was a great age gap. We were in our 40's and they were in their late60's. Both were very educated (she was going for her masters in math at 65??). I'm sure this family is related to yu.
