Thanks to everyone who prayed for me previously.

Sadly, none of my job leads have been working out, and I need a job VERY DESPERATELY. As I said, if I don't find a job, I could be forced me to leave the country due to my work visa status. This prospect is more terrible than I can say, due to the misery of my old life in my homeland, where I was an outcast and (for various cultural reasons) a "half-baked American."

Unfortunately, things have been going very badly. Even before this crisis, I had planned on asking the woman I had been dating to marry me. She refused though, and said that she has no real romantic feelings for me. For a 35-year-old guy who's never had a girlfriend and has never known love, this came as a devastating blow -- and it complicates my immigration process as well.

To make matters worse, none of my job prospects have been panning out. I thought I would surely get a job offer from this one company, but was shocked to hear that I won't be receiving one. Throughout this crisis, it has felt as though God has been toying with me. I know that he hasn't, but it certainly feels that way at times.

This is perhaps the darkest moment in my entire life. Earlier this week, I got so depressed that thoughts of suicide once again entered my head. So intense was my pain.

I could really use your prayers. Prayers for a new job, and prayers for a breakthrough.

Hello again VBV, I am happy to see you are still with us. Did you read my reply to your last post? If you missed it, here it is again...

I'm sorry you're going through a very difficult time right now, but PLEASE don't do anything rash. Swallowing a bottle of pills is a permanent solution to a TEMPORARY problem! I would suggest that you list in your comments here what you are willing and able to do for work. That may help anyone who reads your post in finding you a job. Good luck to you and God bless. Please call these people at the Crisis Hotline. It's a FREE service. 1-888-568-1112.

Please keep in touch, via this forum, and let me know how it's going.
