I am very interested in learning the history of this town. My maternal grandmother was Marie Ida Anna Beausejour, born in Quebec, October of 1893. Her father was Joseph Bol dit Beasejour and her mother was Josephine Chevalier dit Desourdits. I am wondering if a Beausejour originally settled in this community, thus it's name, and if there any Beausejours living there now. Because my grandmother and her parents immegrated to the states (Chicago, IL) when she was a young girl she apparently lost contact with her Canadian family. She had told us that many of her relatives had very large families so I'm sure I have many decendents still living in Canada. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
